It covers only Bishop endgames with same-colored Bishops.I should warn you that this book is really quite boring and difficult when compared to my other books.
While this type of endgame is extremely rare (0.03% of games), it has great educational value, showing the importance of having a plan.
53% of these endgames finish in a draw, but with a bit of practice, you can significantly increase your odds of winning.
This study was covered by Luigi Centurini, an Italian, and was published in 1885.ALL books on Bishops endgame are based on his study, among them Averbakh.
Centurini did not explain his six classes, and neither do most books. In this book, I will explain them.
