It is a quarterly magazine that brings studies and observations in natural history to the masses. Hornbill, the relatively lesser-known sister publication to the much widely known Journal of the Bombay Natural History Society (JBNHS) is a quarterly magazine being published by BNHS since 1976. The magazine brought together popular articles by the who's who of conservation and natural history giants of India including Salim Ali, Zafar Futehally, Humayun Abdulali, J.C. Daniels, M. Krishnan, AJT Johnsingh, Asad Rahmani, and almost all other notable names in the field of natural history and conservation in India (and especially those associated with BNHS over 75 years) during the course of its publication. The magazine continues to bring studies and observations in natural history to the masses.
